Description
KU52 UYK is one of three Evo 7 RS Reconnaissance cars commissioned by Ralliart for the World Championship events.
Due to lack of time and space at Ralliart the build was carried out by Harry Hockley Motorsport in Wales, renowned leaders in EVO preparation. The cars were built to withstand the rigours of WRC events throughout the world, roll-cage design was heavy duty as was body re-inforcement.
The cars were basically full GRP N spec with adjustable three- way Ohlins dampers and full guarding underneath.
KU52 UYK saw action in 2003 – 2006 as Recce Car 1, driven by all of the works drivers including Galli/Rovenpera/Pannizzi etc.
I purchased the car in 2019, it was very original but needed a mechanical overhaul. Over £6000 worth of genuine Mitsubishi parts have been fitted to the car including a rebuild of the Ohlins suspension. This car is mechanically A1. Please ask for a list of parts if needed.
The ex-works radio and telephone are still in the car along with the two original Jerry cans in the boot.
This vehicle would make a worthy contribution to a collection or to be used as a current recce/road car.
