Description
This car was “born” as one of the 200 units of the Visa Trophée Groupe B, and thus competed in Portugal during the year 1982, with the colors of the “Old Bond” jeans and always with Rufino Fontes as driver (at the time the brand’s dealer in Oliveira de Azemeis, through AutoÍnsua). That year he made 5 rallyes.
In 1983, the Portuguese Citroen Importer ordered two Evo 1440 cm3 mechanics from Mathiot, one of which was placed in Francisco Romãozinho’s car, and the other in this same car, meanwhile evolved into the Chrono Evo Version.
These were considered an extension of homologation, in Group B, so only 20 units were made.
With the colors of Kispo , that year he did 6 rallyes.
In 1984 it was sold to the pilot José Venâncio, from Mangualde, who raced in it until 1986, having made about 12 rallyes.
From that year on, he went through several autocross drivers, but did few races.
It was purchased by the current owner in 2024, and is now fully restored.
It has about 150 hp, a crabot box, and a self-locking machine.
According to Rufino Fontes, this version was 3 seconds per kilometer faster than the Trophée Groupe B.
A unique opportunity to have a real Group B, in an ultra-rare Evo version.
