Description

Mini Cooper Mk3 S. A matching number car. Registered in November 1970. An original Cooper S built as a stage rally car in 2000 following total restoration.It now has its original Cooper S re-built engine with large valve stage 3 head. The engine has been lined and bored to 1293cc. Fully balanced with Omega forged pistons. A Newman road / rally camshaft. All new parts including a Paul Ivey EN40b forged crankshaft. The gearbox is a Jack Knight straight cut with close ratio gears fitted with a Quaffe LSD and MED 4.066 crown wheel and pinion. The car has Hardy Spicer driveshafts and competition clutch.

The interior has a Safety Devices full cage with 4 point harness belts and a lifeline fire extinguisher system, both in date, a works type dashboard with branz recorder and brand new in period Corbeau seats.

Although built for Stage Rallying, it has recently competed in Hill Climbs, Historic Rallies and demonstration events with Rallying History.
