Mini Cooper Mk3 S. A matching number car. Registered in November 1970. An original Cooper S built as a stage rally car in 2000 using the original restored shell. It has its newly re-built original Cooper S engine with large valve stage 3 head. The engine has been lined and bored to 1293cc. Fully balanced with Omega forged pistons. A Newman road / rally camshaft. All new parts including a Paul Ivey EN40b forged crankshaft. The gearbox is a Jack Knight straight cut with close ratio gears fitted with a Quaffe LSD and MED 4.066 crown wheel and pinion. The car has Hardy Spicer driveshafts and competition clutch.
Fully rebuilt engine-100 miles only
The interior has a Safety Devices full cage with 4 point harness belts and a lifeline fire extinguisher system, both in date, a works type dashboard and brand new in period Corbeau seats.
Although built for Stage Rallying, it has more recently been used for Hill Climbs, Historic Rallies and demonstration events with Rallying History.
