Austin Mini Cooper Mk3 S. Registered in November 1970 Group 2 re-creation rally car. Rebuilt into a more recent shell 20 years ago. It has its newly re-built original engine with genuine AEG312 block and large valve stage 3 head. The engine has been lined and bored to 1293cc. Fully balanced with Omega forged pistons. A Kent Sports camshaft kit. All new parts including a Paul Ivey EN40b forged crankshaft. The gearbox is a Jack Knight straight cut with close ratio gears fitted with a Quaffe LSD and MED 4.066 crown wheel and pinion. The car has Hardy Spicer driveshafts and competition clutch.
The interior has a Safety Devices full cage with 4 point harness belts (in date), a lifeline fire extinguisher system, a works type dashboard and Corbeau seats.
The car was originally built for Stage Rallying. It has more recently been used for Hill Climbs, Historic Rallies and demonstration events with Rallying History.
