Originally built for Stage Rallying and sold on as a rolling shell but I have it tailored more towards Road/Rally. It has never seen any competition! With a few small changes it will be eligible for Historic Category 3 Competition. Shell and subframes have been strengthened – rust free! Safety Devices full roll cage with a removable diagonal brace. Period seats.
Engine: 1293cc, Professionally built by Keith Calver to Road/Rally spec, sport spec Cylinder head, RE130T cam, 1.4:1 solid steel rocker set (not roller), Nural high compression pistons, superior quality Duplex set, engine balanced. H & H Ignition solutions electronic distributor without vacuum advance. Power output is approximately 95 Bhp although the engine has been built for torque and reliability rather than out and out power. Sports Coil, quality lead set. Verto performance uprated clutch, lightweight flywheel, starter motor. Uprated diff pin and 3.1 CWP. A+ standard gearbox. Maniflow exhaust manifold, MED stub stack and filtration system, gas flowed inlet manifold, HIF 44 carb. Facet fuel pump, all lines inside. Engine breather filter system and catch tank.
7.5″ Cooper S discs, calliper set and pads, brake master and slave cylinders, clutch master and slave cylinders, brake bias valve under bonnet. Adjustable height cones, adjustable camber bottom arms and adjustable rear suspension brackets. Heavy duty tie bar rods and bushes. Spax shocks.
Fibreglass bonnet, high ratio rack, quick shift. 4mm Makrolan hard coat Polycarbonate rear side windows.
Quadoptic headlamps, Cibie Super Oscars, Monty/Scottish type sump guard. Mk1 grill surround, Mk1 Morris Cooper grill. Minator 10 x 5 alloys with Falken 165 x 70 tyres. Fibreglass bonnet.
Please note: There is evidence of filler in the bottom of the doors and the speedo works intermittently. Right hand fuel tank never used and not connected.
