– The car was bought by Brian Green from Ford Motor Company. Brian is Rally Royalty from New Zealand having done over 250 rallies in his life time. Brian competed 16 times in this particular car. Meaning Chassis 5 Escort Cosworth WRC has only done 19 Rallies in its life the last been in 2012.

– C&M Motorsport purchased the car early 2022 and put the restoration work into progress. The company we used for this restoration is a renowned Ford restoration company in Italy called Oppliger Motorsport. The car was stripped to a bareshell with parts fully refurbished including engine, gearbox and diff completely rebuilt now on 0km.

– Here at C&M Motorsport we fully understand that when restoring an Ex Works WRC car the workmanship has to be carried out to an unbelievably high standard. Having previously done WRC restorations and currently a few more in the pipeline we only use the very best engineers for such work.

– We chose to put this into Kenya Rally Safari spec because this was Ari Vatanen last full year competing in Wrc and his final ever Wrc Podium. To have a car from this era and driven by such a rallying icon truly is something special.

– This car has all its original paper work present even the original Ford Motor Co Ltd order form when Brian purchased the car from Ford.

-This car ticks the box for so many rally enthusiasts, it can be parked up as a rally collection piece in a showroom, it can be used in Rally Legends and Goodwood or it can be took to your local rally to compete.
