1996 Escort F2 – Kit Car

Built May 1996 by GSE (Gordon Spooner Engineering) in the UK, Chassis 003.

Not a converted GpA car, this was built as a kit car from new and it still has the correct steel front wings and steel rear quarter panels.

Went to Czech and competed for a few years, then to Germany and Austria. Now back in the UK and has it’s correct factory registration, the car was recommissioned and a new Motorsport UK log book issued in 2025.

Correct F2 running gear, the car was built with a Quaife sequential which has had a fresh rebuild since the last event.

Recently completed Eifel Rally Festival as the only Escort F2 in the event.

Seats in date, new belts in 2025, extinguishers are in date, period correct 17″ magnesium speedline wheels and the car is currently MOT’d.

Lots of history and paperwork with the car, including Ford Motorsport shell certificate, roll cage drawings and a copy of the GSE build sheet. There is also a history of the previous owners and events it has done, that any new buyer is welcome to have.

I have a small spares package that can be discussed. Including; rebuilt drive shafts, front brakes, rear beam, clutch, glass, wheels, front wings etc.
