Escort RS 2000 MK II for sale.

First registered on 30 March 1976, the vehicle is in very good overall condition and largely original. The vehicle has travelled 82,500 km to date, but the technology has been completely overhauled and improved. All improvements are of course registered in the vehicle registration (Austria). The vehicle registration also shows the last owner in Germany.

The engine is a revised 2.0 OHC with 165 hp and a mileage of 5,200 km, fitted with Weber 44 IDF carburettors.

The gearbox is original 4-speed and has been improved with Quaife motorsport parts. The gearbox has run a total of 650 km since the revision.
A large Cologne axle is fitted as the rear axle, which also uses the 70% ZF lock. Mileage since the revision also 650 km. Reinforced single leaf springs are fitted.

Brake pads are new at the front and rear, and braided steel brake lines are also used at the front.
The vehicle has an additional oil cooler and an electric fan.

The interior of the vehicle is also still very nice and original. Safety belts from TRW with automatic were installed as well as a bolted cage from M. Schmidt. This eliminates the rear seat bench, which is replaced by a helmet box for 2 helmets.
In view of the year of construction, there are a few visual defects. For example, the rear shock absorbers are rusty, but work perfectly and were therefore not replaced. However, 1 set of new rear shock absorbers is included as a spare.

At some point in the 80s, a glass roof was installed, typical for the time, you couldn’t resist it.

The pictures show a few places in the engine compartment where the bodywork needed to be reworked. The first signs of rust can also be seen on one of the sills. Nothing major, there is no rust through.
