Description

Genuine RS1600 (with logbook), this lightweight car was built in 2010 by RSD. The id (JUT 337L) competed in the original RAC rally in 1973/74 (built by Roger Clark Motorsport).

The shell is braised (for weight saving), has a weld in cage and the normal Gp4 modifications, including exhaust tunnel, 4 link boxes, chassis mounted engine mounts etc. The car has just had a full bare metal strip down, blast and rebuild ready to be used for the 2026 season. During the rebuild a new sill and front panel were fitted – there is no rot at all in the shell. Professionally painted and complete in Crystals of Hull livery – the car is immaculate. Spec is as follows: –

Sherwood 2.0 BDG – correct 3 bolt head, currently on 550 competition miles. Recent air filter, plug leads, twin plate AP clutch, new Tony Law exhaust system (2 events only)

Martin Jones ZF 5 speed box – rebuilt for the 2025 season and completed 3 events only. Alloy quick release bellhousing.

RSD Atlas FF axle rebuilt 2 events ago, new 5.1 cwp fitted at the same time. AP Forest calipers at front, AP rear. RSD pedalbox with brake bias

Bilstein suspension front and rear, historically correct twin cam anti roll bar, adjustable TCA’s (newly fitted). Gartrac rack – 2 events only

Interior – freshly painted satin black. Stack/Smiths gauges, Atech wrap around seats and 6 point belts (all in date), Lifeline plumbed in electric extinguisher (in date), newly flocked dash and door cards, new Perspex all round and new screen, new Varley lightweight battery. ATL bag tank and integral fuel pump, RSD wiring loom.

The car is ready to go and do a rally tomorrow – it has had a fortune spent on it over the winter (as well as circa 500 hours of labour!) and is the ultimate MK1 historic spec rally car. I do have a tarmac kit for the car and could convert if required.

In date historic papers, logbook, photos of the cars history etc and small spares package included with the car.
