Ex-Works 1983 Peugeot Talbot Samba Group B
Originally starting life as a factory supported Talbot Samba Rallye in Group A specification, in 1983, this car was driven by Borja Moratal and co-driven by Lorenzo de Los Ángeles in the Spanish Tarmac Championship, with regular finishes in the top 15 places.
For the 1984 season with support from Peugeot Sport, Peugeot Talbot Espana upgraded the car to Group B specification with wider track suspension, lightweight body panels and tuned engine with a limited slip differential. Moratal, this time teamed with Alfredo Rodríguez, entered the Championship and regularly finished within 10th overall places, with the best finish of 3rd overall on the Rallye Villa De Llanes .
Moratal swapped to the new 205 for the 1985 season with the Samba still producing giant killing performances in the hands of Rafael Martorell and Gràcia Bou including a 5th overall on the Catalunya Rally.
The car ended up in a car museum/collection for a number of years before it came to the UK. The history is well documented.
Additionally, the car comes with a spare used Engine & Gearbox, Front & Rear Bumpers, Wheels & Tyres.
